Nashville Stole Your Girl – The Acoustic EP is now available online via all good platforms including;
We’re delighted to confirm the EP charted at No.2 in the iTunes album country chart on release day.
Featuring four original tracks and one cover the EP was recorded with Laura’s full band in Leeds with co-writer and producer Danny Cope. The acoustic set up allowed for a more stripped down sound and re-discovery of Laura’s older tracks ‘Lazy’ as well as sneak peak of newly penned tracks ‘Glitter’, ‘Nashville Stole Your Girl’ and ‘Better in Blue Jeans’. As a keen Elton John fan the EP simply had to include a cover of the popstar’s music. Laura picked a lesser known Elton John track ‘Cage The Songbird’ to close the EP with.
Here’s what Laura had to say about the EP “The tracks themselves are five that I feel really sum up everything I’d want people to know about me as an artist. Contemporary but with a flavour of traditional country, the kind of country I grew up listening to, running though the instrumentation – lyrically, I tried to be clever with word play in places – but blatantly conversational and honest too. And at all times, everything tinged with a bit of sarcasm and humour – poking fun at both this crazy world and myself!”
Laura hopes everyone enjoys the EP as much as she enjoyed making it!
